Harrison,
Chief Executive Rabbit:
Joan Harrison, cellist, earned
her B.M. From the San Francisco Conservatory as a student
of both Margaret Rowell and Irene Sharp and her M.M. From
Yale University where she was a teaching assistant to Aldo
Parisot. She continued her training at the School for Strings
in New York where she developed her interest in the teaching
philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.
Ms. Harrison spent several years concertising on both modern
and baroque cello in the US and in Canada. She has taught
at such prestigious institutions as including Princeton
University, The Perlman Music Program, the United Nations
International School and New York School for Strings. Currently
she divides her time between New York, where she is a member
of the NY City Opera, and Canada, where she performs chamber
music, teaches and directs I Cellisti cello choir.
